Amanda Stone (she/her) is originally from Kansas City and is currently based in New York City. She attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance with minors in Arts Management, Advertising, and Business. While at SMU, Amanda trained primarily in Graham, Balanchine, and Jazz techniques under the direction of Carter Alexander, Mark Burrell, Silas Farley, Leslie Peck, and Myra Woodruff. After graduating, she trained with Visceral Dance Chicago under the direction of Caitlin Cucchiara and Nick Pupillo. She has also danced with Artists Revealed, Defy Dance Project, Kinfigure, and iPush. Amanda has performed works by choreographers including Adam Hougland, George Balanchine, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Matthew Neenan, and Mónica Cervantes. She has attended intensives with BalletX, BODYTRAFFIC, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and NW Dance Project. Amanda is grateful and excited to be joining Eryc Taylor Dance for the company’s 20th anniversary season.
