Gabriela Marx
Gabriela Marx received a BA in Dance from Kenyon College. Focus included Modern Dance, choreography, dance pedagogy and dance history. Gabriela received training from the 92 NY Dance Education Laboratory (DEL) Institute and AXIS Dance Company Teacher Training program which emphasized creating inclusive dance curriculum for both disabled and non-disabled people.
She has been a dance instructor for Eryc Taylor Dance Outreach since 2022. She teaches Breathing and Stretching, Move and Groove, and Latin Grooves which includes basic NY Style Salsa shines. In addition, she teaches Modern Dance and Creative Movement to seniors at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House.
Gabriela has experience teaching people of all ages where she encourages self-expression, exploration, inclusion and building confidence. She loves to end movement workshops with a jam session or dance circle where everyone freestyles to any music genre from R&B to Jazz to Salsa and more. She is passionate about sharing movement and music with others to build community and joy, encourage creativity and make movement accessible to all.
