Gabriela Marx

Gabriela Marx studied at Kenyon College, receiving a bachelor's degree in Dance. The focus included Modern Dance, choreography, dance pedagogy and dance history.

Gabriela has experience teaching students of all ages with an emphasis on self-expression, inclusion, empowerment, and exploration. Her teaching utilizes ideas and structures from Anne Green Gilbert's Brain Compatible Dance Education. She has applied these concepts to teaching Salsa, Modern Dance, and movement exploration.

She seeks to create a space that is welcoming to everyone. Her goals are to share movement with others to build community, build one's confidence, and make movement accessible to all.

In addition, Gabriela has choreographed works El Poder de Comunidad and Baile Libre, which focus on the empowerment of the Latinx community and the significance of movement.
